As stewards for Catholic education we must move forward as those before us, to assure future generations that Lourdes High School will be a vibrant Catholic school in the greater Rochester community and meet the educational challenges of the 21st century.
Being faithful to the traditions of our Catholic heritage, the Rochester Catholic Schools will continue to educate young people in partnership with family, church, and community to deepen, proclaim and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
In order to build on our tradition, it is important that we provide the appropriate facilities to meet the needs of our current and future students. Therefore, after the completion of a three-year “Building Our Future” study, and a financial feasibility study to determine whether to remain at our present site or build a new high school at a different location, the trustees of Rochester Catholic Schools have unanimously decided to pursue the building of a new school.
Rochester Catholic Schools will build a new Lourdes High School facility and campus for 625 students on 23.5 acres of land located at 19th Street and Valleyhigh Drive NW. The land was a generous gift to Rochester Catholic Schools. The property is adjacent to the Rochester Athletic Club, and the 100-acre prairie restoration project, Cascade Meadow Wetlands.
The new Lourdes facility and campus will support beauty, art and music consistent with our Catholic tradition, heritage and community. We are asking prayerfully for your support.

Technical and Environmental Because the 21st century is rooted in technology and an understanding of global impact with decisions, success in today’s rapidly changing world will require a new level of knowledge and skills. |

At Lourdes High School, our sense of community is particular to our spiritual tradition.
We are not simply citizens, peers, or colleagues engaged together in the
business of education.
Rather, we are dignified among one another by the presence of God,
in whose image we are created to community.
Our tradition is rich with the signs of God’s presence in symbol and ritual, and our lives are inspired through the Holy Spirit. As educators, we encourage the recognition of the presence of God within each of us. Our physical environment, then, needs to express unequivocally who we claim to be.
The future Lourdes High School should be designed from inspiration. In both architecture and décor, the physical space should represent itself as sacred space to reflect the spiritual motivation of our work: representing the Glory of God in all we do.
Jesus, Teacher, and Friend,
As we build our new school,
give courage, faith, and peace
to the Lourdes community
so we may learn and grow together as One.
Keep alive in us the grace of courage
so we may be led by wisdom
in making the right choices.
Keep alive in us the grace of faith
so we may be humble in our relationships and
continually learn to see one another
as You see us.
Keep alive in us the grace of peace
so we may always be a community
marked by compassion for All.
Above all, no matter where
we find ourselves in life,
continue to give us Charity
so we may ever be Charity for others.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
